About the Grant

We believe that New Orleans is filled with innovative people who have big ideas, and we want to see these ideas happen. FEAST NOLA funds creative projects that intend to inspire, educate, and uplift our local community. If you have an idea, dream, or vision for your own community, regardless of scope or scale, make it HAPPEN. Share it with us below.

The top five proposals will be asked to present at the next FEAST NOLA event. The FEAST community will vote on their favorite proposal- deciding in real time where to put their own funds. The winning team will walk away from the FEAST with the grant prize – 50% of the night’s proceeds (estimated at $1,000).

Winner(s) return to the next FEAST to report on their accomplishments, thereby remaining accountable to the entire FEAST community.

We know you can be creative on your own, but if you’d like to get some inspiration from reading through some of our previously submitted proposals, we understand. Take a look at past proposals on our past FEASTs page.

There are two guidelines for the FEAST NOLA grant:

  1. The funds must be used for a new project, and not just supplement an already existing project.
  2. The funds must be spent and you must be able to show significant progress by the next FEAST six month months later.

Submission Process

The call for proposals is open through Sunday, May 26th. You can submit your proposals via our online portal. We ask that you submit as early as possible. Keep your answers focused and detailed. Simply put, you do not need to write us a book. Proposals without a projected budget will not be considered for the grant.

After you submit the online form, we will contact you to confirm receipt. If you have questions prior to submitting please refer to our FAQs page or send us an email!

Review Process and Presentation Requirements

Proposals are reviewed by the FEAST NOLA team, based on the following criteria:

Engagement – Is your project inclusive to a larger community or neighborhood? Does it encourage involvement among community members?

Impact - How does your project strategically address a specific need in your community? Even if just a one time event, how will it have a lasting effect?

Use of funds - Do you explain why you need this money and what it will be used for? Do you really need this FEAST fund to make your project happen? Does your project provide a clear and reasonable account for each dollar of the FEAST grant?

Creativity - Is your idea fresh? Are you thinking outside the box?

The top five candidates will be notified one week before the dinner and will be asked to prepare a five-minute presentation for the FEAST. Please include visuals to your presentation and be prepared to present a project budget. We do not care how you do it, have fun! Just make sure your presentation is both clear and engaging.

Proposal submissions are due Sunday, May 26th!
